Comfy Cozy Apartment

While I love looking at beautiful, impeccably designed spaces, I also love when I come across spaces that just feel like home. I often find it easier to draw inspiration from spaces that are more approachable because I can find ideas that might actually work in my home and could even be affordable.

I would love to have a nice, comfy chair in my kitchen. How great would it be to sit down and relax for minute, while still being able to keep an eye on dinner while it's cooking? It would also be a great place to have a cup of coffee in the morning. Unfortunately for me, I don't think this idea will work in my current kitchen, but I'm definitely keeping it in mind for the future.

Almost always you see tile used for a backsplash, but why not put a  slab of marble back there?

Herringbone floors are my favorite!

I love this living room/dining room. I especially like the sofa and the coffee table. This is a perfect space to draw inspiration from because it's beautiful, but it's also approachable and attainable.

This gallery wall is fantastic. Also, the yellow lamp is delightful and looks great next to the navy blue sofa.

I love a good bookshelf. What I love most about this one is that it looks authentic. Except for the books turned sideways on the end of each shelf, this bookshelf doesn't look like it was styled. I'll admit, I love seeing a bookshelf arranged by color, but its not realistic. I'm sure it takes hours to arrange and then after it must be impossible to find anything. Besides, a bookshelf can look like a piece of art without being overly styled.
