California Cool Heads North

Bright white interiors, natural materials, furnishings with a boho flair are all often associated with the California cool look. This home designed by Heidi Callier Design brings that relaxed, effortless vibe to the Pacific Northwest.

I love the rug and the upholstery fabric on the bench. The gallery wall is pretty great too.

If I didn't know where this home was, I would definitely guess that it was in California. It just has that look.

I love the Moroccan rug in here. I really like the blue chairs too. I like that they went for a pop of color instead of more white.

This dining room is amazing. I love the bubble chandelier and the triangle pattern on the window shade. I'm really digging the fiddle-leaf fig tree too.

I'm a big fan of blue kitchens (as you can see in this post). I like white cabinets paired with the blue island. I really like the pendant lights too.

I love the vintage sink along with the blue ceramic tiles (possibly terra cotta). I like the mirror too. It's an interesting choice. I feel like you don't usually see mirrors like this one in bathrooms. It would probably be seen more often in a living room or  bedroom, but I think it looks great in this space.

I love the headboard! The pattern reminds me of a Moroccan rug and it looks fantastic.

I love the random black tiles on the floor. So cool.

I love the rug. It looks a lot like the one in the foyer. I really like the pattern on the chair and the pillows too.
