Room of the Week: New Traditional Kitchen

I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t be more thrilled that it’s finally April. Last month was incredibly busy and hectic for me, so I’m definitely ready to turn the page and get a fresh start. With that said, let’s move on and get to the Room of the Week! In general, my design tastes skew a little more modern. When I think of traditional interiors, I think of over-decorated rooms that feel stuffy and dated. But traditional doesn’t have to mean that. This kitchen designed by Anne McDonald Design has a lot of traditional elements, but it feels fresh and new. I love the dark gray island with the matching pendants. Dark gray is one of my favorite colors and that particular shade is just so lovely. I also really like the cabinet that reaches all the way to the ceiling. It’s a great way to maximize storage space. I’m not sure how I feel about mirrors in the kitchen from a practical standpoint (I bet frequent cleaning is necessary), but it does look pretty cool. I’m definitely taking notes for potential future kitchen updates.

What was your favorite part of this room? Let me know in the comments!
