Friday Finds: Easy Kitchen Upgrades, Outdoor Fire Pits, and More
Despite a couple chilly days (and record late season snowfall last weekend) it’s finally starting to feel like spring. It’s got me thinking about the even warmer days ahead filled with backyard parties and barbecues. I can’t wait! Enjoy this weeks finds and have a happy holiday weekend!
Kitchens are one of the most expensive areas to upgrade in a home and renovations can be stressful and time consuming. This article has some great, easy ideas to refresh your kitchen without breaking the bank.
Like I mentioned, I’m so looking forward to summer nights spent outside with family and friends. These lovely outdoor fire pits really got me daydreaming this week.
Who doesn’t love a good dining nook? I know I do. Definitely on my to-do list for future home upgrades. Here’s some great ones for inspiration.
I’m not much of a baker, except for the annual Christmas cookies, but I’ve been finding a lot of recipes lately that I’d like to try. The problem is, since I don’t bake very often, the ingredients I already have in my pantry, specifically sugar aren’t good anymore when I go to use them. I’m talking rock hard block of sugar. Maybe if I stored things properly this wouldn’t happen. I’m seriously considering buying a couple of these super chic storage canister so I can get my baking on!
I love a good wooden spoon. I use them all the time for stirring when I’m cooking things on the stove, but they’re really great for baking too. A wooden spoon is really the only way you can mix batters without a mixer (which I don’t have) so it’s definitely a good idea to have some good, sturdy ones. These teak spoons are really pretty and look like they could stand up to even the thickest of batters.
